AI Governance

AI governance that keeps pace with your deployment.

Ongoing compliance monitoring, risk management, and policy development aligned with NIST AI RMF and OMB M-25-21 - so your AI initiatives stay on track.

The Problem

Deploying AI is the easy part. Governing it is where agencies struggle. OMB M-25-21 requires ongoing AI use case inventories, risk assessments, and governance structures - but most agencies lack the frameworks, tools, and expertise to maintain compliance as their AI portfolio grows. Without continuous governance, risks compound: models drift from their intended behavior, new use cases launch without proper review, compliance documentation falls behind, and leadership loses visibility into what AI is actually doing across the organization. The result is regulatory exposure, mission risk, and the kind of headlines that end AI programs entirely.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about AI governance engagements with V Consulting Services.

Is this a one-time engagement or ongoing?

AI governance requires ongoing attention as regulations change and your AI portfolio evolves. We offer both initial framework implementation and retainer-based advisory support. Most agencies start with implementation and transition to a quarterly advisory retainer.

What if we do not have a Chief AI Officer yet?

We can support your agency in defining the CAIO role, developing the position requirements, and providing interim advisory support until the role is filled. Many agencies use our advisory service as a bridge while they recruit.

How does this integrate with our existing compliance frameworks?

AI governance does not replace your existing compliance infrastructure - it extends it. We integrate with your current FISMA, privacy, and risk management frameworks so AI governance becomes part of your existing processes, not a separate burden.

What happens if regulations change?

Our retainer service includes regulatory monitoring. When OMB guidance, NIST frameworks, or agency-specific requirements change, we update your governance documentation, policies, and procedures accordingly.

Ready to govern AI with confidence?

Start with a governance assessment. We will show you exactly where your compliance gaps are and how to close them.
